1

Empathy

Let's start by understanding what the client needs and the users' requirements. One exciting example is a client looking for help with UI/UX to enhance their product and impress potential investors. The users, in this case, need an app to verify guests.

2

Define

Once we gather insights on users, we dive into creating user personas to truly understand our audience and their needs. We keep an open mind and acknowledge that some assumptions might come into play.

3

Research

We brainstorm ideas, peek at what competitors are up to, and do some research to spot patterns, so we can build on existing successes. For instance, we could explore how popular apps verify their users through testing. It's all about learning from the best and making a good user experience.

4

Prototype

I'll start by creating wireframes and collaborating closely with a developer. Together, we'll fine-tune the design until we're on the same page. Then, I'll dive into the visual design, before we showcase the solution in Figma to the founders.

Values

1

Growth

I started a Youtube channel to share my learnings. I like to learn new things to build UI such as Twitter and Nike store with Next JS and Radix UI to understand more about components. I'm currently playing with AI and Spline 3D.

2

Collaboration

I work closely with developers, product owners, marketers and founders. This is where the magic happens and being open to feedback to grow as a designer.

3

Humility

Keep on learning and trying things. Mistakes and issues happen, let's help each other to level up and embrace the journey.

Testimonials

Jane Doe Profile

Jane Doe — Head of Development

I needed someone to come and help me with not only UI/UX but also design and front end work, including some Angular - which sounds like a tall order but I was very grateful to Roy for filling that role for almost three years while we got our startup from more of a concept to a reality.

John Doe Profile

John Doe — Founder

Getting to work with Roy proved to be a fantastic experience. I am based on the west coast of the US, so we're on significantly different time zones. And, I have a fully remote team. Roy fit in quickly. He had no trouble taking initial direction and then developing great designs asynchronously. I often tell people it's like I get to wake up to Christmas presents.

Jack Doe Profile

Jack Doe — Head of Product

I had the chance to work with Roy over a six-month project. Throughout, he was an incredible communicator, always had great designs and conversations to push the project forward, and listened carefully to feedback and implemented them precisely as requested.
